Fourth of July

We attended our ward activities for the fourth of July this year.  Baseball, good food (including the pie eating contest Brent participated in) and a water slide!

Container Garden

This is our first success with a container garden.  It really flourished this year.  I was really only able to use the cilantro and basil productively.  I still haven't managed to get enough tomatoes to really do anything with!

Brent's New Grill

Daddy got a grill this year - about a week before his birthday.  He has had a great time putting it to good use.  These are his first try at jalapeno poppers and he loved them!

Morgantown's Got Talent

We had our ward talent show tonight.  Brent was involved in the planning and preparation and so the rest of us prepared things to display at the show.  My piano students performed for their first audience.  I showed a couple paintings of mine and took along some other creative projects.  Elise, William and Allen displayed some paintings.  (See below).  The bummer of the night was Brent was sick all day today and unable to attend the show to see all his hard work pay off!  The turn out was incredible and Elise and I enjoyed our time at the show.  We heard Broadway, opera, orchestra, band, piano duets and solos, violin solos, guitar, a percussion band (the food storage band), a family of singers and many others.  Our time was certainly well spent!
